UH Salutes 1998 Presidential and Regents Scholars July 16   What: Dinner in honor of 1998 recipients of the Regents Scholarships for Academic Excellence and Presidential Scholarships   When: Thursday, July 16, 5:30 p.m., following Board of Regents Committee meetings.   Where: UH Manoa Campus Center Ballroom   Who: Twenty Regents Scholarships are awarded each spring to graduating high school seniors and ten Presidential Scholarships to college sophomores planning to attend a UH campus in the fall.. UH President Kenneth P. Mortimer and members of the Board of Regents will be on hand to congratulate this year's scholarship winners.   Albert Simone Presidential Scholar Cathy Wood, recently profiled in USA Today as one of the nation's top 20 community college students, will speak on behalf of the Presidential Scholars.   Waipahu High School graduate Jill Kanda will speak on behalf of the Regents Scholars.
