| Psychology professor featured in A&E special on love |
The Arts & Entertainment (A&E) channel will air a one-hour program featuring the research of Elaine Hatfield, a University of Hawai'i at Manoa psychology professor, at 2 p.m. on Nov. 27. The special, "By Love Possessed," is a program in the A&E series titled "Love Chronicles."
Hatfield says the program is based on more than 30 years of research on love and childhood crushes. She has published two books on the topic: "Love and Sex: Cross-cultural Perspectives" and "Love, Sex and Intimacy."
The program includes interviews with children at Our Redeemer Lutheran
grade school, where Hatfield had earlier conducted interviews for her own
research. The special may also contain interviews with UH Professors Valerie
Wayne, English, and Lee Siegel, religion.
