Summary: Kelsey's mom folds the perfect paper crane. It's indicative of the level of excellence expected of Kelsey. Kelsey's life choices differ radically from her parents'. With her graduation and impending wedding, will the folding of 1001 paper cranes widen or bridge the chasm between Kelsey and her mother?
With Paper Cranes, director Ryan Kawamoto illustrates the forces that clash in any family. The film was produced with the Student Video and Filmmakers' Association at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. Running time: 33 min.
