Hewlett-Packard executives and will join University of Hawai'i officials to dedicate an industry-standard computer lab at   10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4 second floor of the POST building University of Hawai'i at Manoa   Demonstrations of the computing power of these workstations will be part of the dedication program. Expected participants in the dedication include: Hewlett-Packard Vice President Lee Ting Hewlett-Packard Director of University Relations Alfred Moye Hawai'i Lt. Gov. Mazie Hirono UH Regent Lily Yao UH President Kenneth P. Mortimer College of Engineering Dean Paul Yuen The state-of-the-art workstations-24 for the College of Engineering's Hewlett-Packard Educational Computing Laboratory and three for the Department of Information and Computer Sciences-provide UH students with access to powerful computers currently used by engineers to design products as small as an integrated circuit and as large as an airplane.
