High Schoolers Invited to UH for Sneak Peak at Four Programs Hawai'i high school students and their parents are invited to an academic showcase night featuring four of University of Hawai'i at Manoa units beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23. The campus's first "Sharing the Excellence" evening features programs on the University Avenue side of campus-School of Architecture, College of Business Administration, College of Education and School of Travel Industry Management. The evening begins with a reception and academic fair at the Campus Center Ballroom and a chance to meet UH President Kenneth Mortimer. Information on admissions and financial aid will be provided, and college students attending UHM under the Regents Scholars program will describe their campus experiences. Families can then attend two 45-minute showcase presentations describing programs and majors within the participating schools and colleges. Students identified by PSAT exam lists as indicating interest in one of the four areas of study have received invitations to the event. Other students who are college bound and have an interest in architecture, business, education or travel industry management are also encouraged to attend with their families. Space is limited, however, so families who are interested should call 956-7137 for further information and reservations. |
