| Excellence in teaching, research and service recognized at Pride 2000 Convocation |
University of Hawai`i faculty and staff from around the UH system were recognized for teaching, research and service this week at the Pride 200 Convocation.
The annual ceremony recognizes recipients of the Regents, Medals for Excellence in Teaching and Excellence in Research, and other outstanding faculty and staff members who have performed exceptional service for students, the university and the community, and award winners in other categories.
Award Winners
The Board of Regents, Medal for Excellence in Teaching recognizes the importance that students, the faculty and the administration place on quality teaching. This award pays tribute to faculty for their extraordinary level of subject mastery and scholarship, teaching effectiveness and creativity, and personal values beneficial to students.

The UH Community College established the Employment Training Center's Outstanding Employee of the Year award to recognize excellence in teaching at ETC.
