Planting a lawn demonstration
If you've just moved into a new home, chances are you also need to think about putting in a lawn. That's where the University of Hawaii can help. Learn the ABC's of installing a lawn from UH extension agent Dale Sato. Dale will give a lawn installation demonstration at the Urban Garden Center in Pearl City starting at 9:30 in the morning on Saturday, May 2. The Urban Garden Center is located at 962 Second Street in Pearl City and is open to the public every first Saturday of the month where volunteers are on hand to answer home gardening questions. The 30-acre center is a one-stop educational center for home gardeners, students and horticulture professionals. And it's a project of the University of Hawaii's College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources. For more information about the Urban Garden Center call 453 6050. This is the University Report. Join me tomorrow morning for the UH Today segment on NBC Hawaii News8, I'm Tracy Orillo Donovan. |
