Healthy lifestyle series
Many consider the start of a new year as the time for setting new goals. Summer is a good time to either reaffirm those goals or to get started. And the University Health Services can help with its Healthy Lifestyle Series. On Wednesday, June 10, the public can listen to Dr. Frank Izuta's "Stretching to Unstress" lecture. He will talk about the benefits of simple exercises that can be done at your work desk. These exercies can relieve the pain in your neck, shoulders and back. Two weeks later on June 24, internationally-renowned chef and entrepreneur Mark Ellman will demonstrate healthy-cooking. Cost is 12 dollars for each lecture, which includes lunch and a health pass that checks participants' blood pressure, weight measurements and even cholesterol, blood sugar or fat analysis, depending on the lecture. Call 956-8965 for more information. This is the University Report, I'm Tracy Orillo Donovan. |
