A colleague commented on Quemuels
exceptional qualities, including her ability to build bridges across departments
and agencies, address issues of diversity and inclusion that promote a student
oriented campus and address sensitive and controversial issues with fairness
and respect for all involved parties. Students recognize her advocacy for underrepresented
populations. One student wrote, Quemuel has helped me advance in my college
career. She has helped launch the Bridge-to-Hope program, opened the doors for
many students to stay in school and enabled single parents to continue their
education. Quemuels work benefits all students. She is an excellent
role model and truly a blessing for the students and staff whose lives she enhances
daily.
