Wrap-up
The
Hawai‘i State Legislature completed its 2004 session with
$100.2 million appropriated for 18 capital improvement projects
across the UH system. The Academy for Creative Media and Manoa’s
School of Social Work, College of Education, College of Tropical
Agriculture and Human Resources and the John A. Burns School of
Medicine also received significant funding. In addition, the Legislature
also approved Board of Regents appointments for Andres Albano,
Jr., James J.C. Haynes, II and Jane Tatibouet.

Kapi‘olani
Library Receives Computer Donation

First Hawaiian Leasing, Inc. donated more than 40 computers and monitors to
the Kapi‘olani CC’s library. The donated computers will replace
six-year-old equipment in the public areas of the library. Kapi‘olani
CC students use the computers to search the library’s online catalog,
get access to databases and full-text articles and log on to e-mail.
