Dobelle
in Asia to Strengthen Global Partnerships and Promote UH
President Evan S. Dobelle
and a team of administrators spent two weeks visiting Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand,
Singapore, Indonesia and Japan, in an effort to better understand these countries
situations, provide greater exposure to UHs vast programs, reconnect with
UH alumni, meet with UH partner institutions and explore new partnerships.

the international profile of the University of Hawaii system as a distinguished
resource in Hawaiian and Asian-Pacific affairs, positioning it as one of the
worlds foremost multicultural centers for global and indigenous studies."
During the trip, Dobelle and President Dao Trong Thi of Vietnam National University
(VNU) signed an agreement renewing an academic partnership which includes continuing
the executive MBA program operated by the Manoa College of Business Administration
through the Hanoi School of Business.
