Celebrating 100 Years
of Korean Culture
MANOA,
the UH Manoa literary journal, commemorates the hundredth anniversary of Korean
immigration to the U.S. with, Century of the Tiger: One Hundred Years of
Korean Culture in America, edited by Jenny Ryun Foster, Heinz Insu Fenkl
and Frank Stewart. Century of the Tiger presents writing by some of the
best and most eloquent Korean authors in Korea and America, past and present.
These works bring to life the dramatic, complex and largely untold story of
the Korean American experience. The volume features reproductions of Korean
art pieces, many from the Honolulu Academy of Arts, and reproductions of work
by contemporary Korean American artists.
Century of the Tiger: One Hundred Years of Korean Culture in America
