Definition Folk Tales for Children
UH Manoa’s
Outreach College presents two films, Anansi and Koi and
the Kola Nut, on Sun., July 6, 4–5 p.m. at the Yukioshi
Room in Krauss Hall. Anansi is part of the CineMuse network, America’s
first digital hi-definition cinema network.
 • Anansi,
narrated by Denzel Washington tells two Jamaican folktales about
the spider Anansi and his adventures.
• Koi
and the Kola Nut, narrated by Whoopi Goldberg, is a humorous
African folktale about Koi and his three impossible tasks.

Shop Sale
Everything is half price at the UH Thrift Shop July 1–10. Enjoy summer
bargains on clothing, household items, sports gear, office supplies, books,
jewelry and much more. The thrift shop is located behind the Biomed building
across from the UH Credit Union on the Manoa campus. Shop hours are Tues.,
10 a.m.–1 p.m. and Thurs., noon–3 p.m. Parking will be validated.
