UH researcher finds diabetes risk higher in U.S.

Dr. Beatriz Rodriguez of the John A. Burns School of Medicine is principal investigator for Hawaii’s SEARCH for Diabetes Youth study site at the Pacific Health Research Institute, which is part of a 10-year diabetes study that has found that Asian and Pacific Islander children in the United States have higher rates of diabetes than children in many Asian countries.
