The UH photographer maintains current photo files (photos taken before 1987 are archived in Hamilton Library) and "shoots" UH scenes and events. Stock photos may be borrowed for publication use by UH units or news media; prints may be made from file negatives or slides at the client's expense. Photographic services include head-and-shoulder shots of individuals, "documentary" event coverage and illustration photography in support of media and/or University publication activities or projects. Most services are provided at no charge to requesting units. Requests for photographic services must be made in writing (one-week minimum advance notice is recommended) and include:

• a brief description of the photos desired and their intended use
• possible times, dates and locations
• the type of film (color/black and white; and print/slide)
• the name and phone number of the person who will make final arrangements

Reprints of prints/slides appearing in University Relations publications may be obtained for personal/non-commercial use on an at-cost basis, with payment made directly to the lab processing University Relations photography orders. Call for instructions and current costs; specify the name, date and page number of the publication in which the photograph appeared.
