Latest updates on the SARS situation

UH policies related to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome have been developed in consultation with the state Department of Health and federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Because medical information is changing as understanding of the disease grows, the university monitors and adjusts its policies to be in alignment with these agencies. Updates will be posted on this site as they become available, or check the agencies at left.
UH students and employees traveling to areas with SARS outbreaks must use the risk forms below.

There will be a SARS workshop, “SARS Update: Vigilance Must Continue”, on Wednesday, August 13th, 9am-11am at Kuykendall Auditorium. We cannot let our guard down because it seems that SARS has been contained. Rather we need to become more informed & guard against its recurrence or other possible health alerts.
