The project is designed to upgrade the skills and promote the career development
of in-service, part-time teachers, and education assistants with the Hawaii
Department of Education who teach English as a Second Language (ESL) or
bilingual students.
The project is supported by activities to promote enhanced career opportunities;
train bilingual educators; and provide tuition, stipends, academic counseling,
and other personalized help to ensure the educational and career success
of each participant.
