Welcome. Project PACT (Partnering to Assess and Counteract Truancy) was funded (1999-2006) by the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.

This collaborative effort to address truancy in the Hawaii Department of Education's Waianae Complex was administered by the College of Education at the University of Hawaii. Read the Project PACT brochure (PDF*).

Project PACT builds on the foundation set by IMPACT, a 1997-1999 U.S. Department of Education Safe and Drug Free Schools project, that addressed truancy in grades K-12 in the Waianae Complex schools.
