Research Interests:
Hailing from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he got both his undergraduate and masters degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Despite his early interests in medicine, he got his first taste of marine biology research working for Dr. Ostrander creating a laboratory methadology mimicing the stress corals recieve from crude oil spill. His hobby for marine biology as a child and experience with marine research led him to apply and subsiquiently come to Hawaii to learn to surf and get a tan, oh and get a PhD in the mean time.

Currently working in a collaboration between his advisor Dr. Robert Richmond, Dr. Gary Ostrander and Dr. Ron Lu on several projects. Currently working on the characterization of differnt Goat Fish cells (Mulloidichthys vanicolensis) with the ultimate goal of establishing a
permaculture of coral cells. In conjunction he is also working on the anthropogenic stress of corals, and there resilliance in both laboratory and field enviornments
