Dr. Andrew Abe, PharmD graduated with his doctorate in pharmacy from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. He then completed a 2-year research fellowship at Creighton University in Drug Information & Evidence-Based Medicine, where he participated in research pertaining to accessibility and interpretation of medical literature. Upon completion of his fellowship, Andrew became a Clinical Assistant Professor & Drug Information Specialist at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. There he taught courses in biostatistics, evidence-based medicine, drug information, pharmacognosy, Medicare Part D, and managed a drug information call center staffed by pharmacists and pharmacy students. From there, Andrew moved back to his home state of Hawai’i, and worked as a Clinical Pharmacist in managed care at AlohaCare, a local managed Medicaid/Medicare health plan. Most recently, he was a Regional Account Medical Science Liaison; Associate Director for Novartis. In his spare time, Andrew likes to play tennis, cook, and bake.
