Theda Skocpol, world-renowned sociologist and political scientist at Harvard University, is coming to the University of Hawai‘i at MÄnoa campus to share her views on global warming and the green economy. Her free, public lecture, “Countering Extremism and Engaging Americans in the Fight against Global Warming,†will address the issues of global warming, the recent failure by Congress to enact “cap and trade†to reduce carbon emissions, and the next steps needed to move America toward a green economy.
