Take Steps to Engage Students Emotionally, Behaviorally and Cognitively!
How can one create a classroom environment in which students are spending their time learning to carry out the thinking processes of the field of study?
This audience-participation workshop will include the following topics and elements:
1. Why focus on engagement?
2. Demonstration of a few specific skills/activities, with design guidelines
3. Structuring a course for engagement
4. Work session to devise (at least) one concrete engaging activity to implement in the upcoming weeks
