February 4, 1:00pm - 2:15pmMānoa Campus, Kuykendall 106 Events Room

This presentation and discussion will explore how participation in a peer tutoring program generates many students to discover an interest in education, become better students themselves, and develop deeper connections to their studies and their academic careers at a four-year university. Presenters will describe the structured tutor training and support offered in one peer tutoring program and will analyze tutors‘ reflections on their own personal and professional development, as well as the implications for student retention.
