Life-Long Learning Uses of Library Electronic Resources
June 3, 1:30pm - 3:00pmMānoa Campus, Hamilton Library 306
The UHM Library invites you to a presentation on "Life-Long Learning Uses of Library Electronic Resources" on Wednesday, June 3, at 1:30 P.M. in Hamilton Library room 306.
Most of you are familiar with the majority of the Library’s electronic resources. Peer-reviewed scholarly articles? Doctoral dissertations? Court decisions? Check, check, and check.
But one person’s research can be another person’s personal interest! What about when you need to make an informed decision for your personal life? A major purchase? Or when you need to find a good hiking spot? Or when you need to find the perfect wallpaper for your phone? Check, check, and check.
We’ve got you covered! With your UHM user ID, you have access to it all. Join us and learn about online resources you may not be aware of.
This will be the second in a series of presentations focused on various digital assets that the UHM Library collects and manages. It is sponsored by the UHM Library and presented by the UHM Digital Library Program Task Force.
Background: In the spring of 2014, a Digital Library Program (DLP) Task Force was formed at the UHM Library. The main goal of the Task Force is to build upon prior work in developing an organizational structure for a digital assets management strategy for the Library. One specific charge of the Task Force is to engage in outreach about the UHM digital assets to the Library's constituencies, especially as it applies to teaching and learning – and in this case personal and fun teaching and learning.
