Laha Mau Book Talks: Astronomy's Limitless Journey, by Günther Hasinger
November 18, 4:00pm - 5:30pmMānoa Campus, Hamilton Library, Room 301

Günther Hasinger’s new book takes readers on a journey through the universe and reflects on our fascination with it, arguing that every new discovery opens a further door to the unknown. Come hear Dr. Hasinger, director of the Institute for Astronomy, share highlights from his book, shed light on recent discoveries from the current “golden age†of astrophysics and cosmology, and answer questions about the mysteries of the cosmos.
Following the talk, Dr. Hasinger will sign copies of Astronomy’s Limitless Journey: A Guide to Understanding the Universe, newly published by UH Press.
This event is the inaugural installment of Laha Mau Book Talks, a series of readings and lectures featuring local authors and celebrating UH Press and the UHM Library's shared commitment to spreading knowledge. Follow UH Press's book blog and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) for information about future Laha Mau Book Talks.
