Are Students Flipping Over Your Class? Consider Using a Flipped Class Approach
April 4, 12:00pm - 1:15pmMānoa Campus, Kuykendall 106 Events Room
This model is an instructional strategy that reverses what is traditionally done at home and what is done at school, such as watching video lectures at home and working authentic problems in class. Two faculty members from Learning Design and Technology decided to experiment with this approach to add more content to their courses while maximizing class time for instructor facilitation of projects.
This presentation will:
1. Demonstrate how two courses were designed and developed,
2. Share findings from 50 student response surveys regarding perceptions and satisfaction with the new model,
3. Discuss the successes and challenges of implementing these courses.
Feel free to bring your own lunch, beverages will be provided.
