Successful STEM Mentoring Initiatives for Underrepresented Students

Becky Wai-Ling Packard is the Director of the Weissman Center for Leadership and Professor of Psychology and Education at Mount Holyoke College. Author of “Successful STEM Mentoring Initiatives for Underrepresented Minorities”, Dr. Packard will offer practical recommendations so we can be intentional about our mentoring work. In doing so, we can improve the power of our impact on our students, our departments, and our fields.

Dr. Packard’s visit is sponsored by ‘Ike Wai, the Hawai‘i EPSCoR program (NSF/OIA #1557349). Additional support is provided by the University of Hawai‘i through the Women’s Campus Club and SEED IDEAS.
