Learn about basic legal planning for older persons and caregivers at this free lecture sponsored by the University of Hawai‘i Elder Law Program (UHELP) at the law school.
Professor James Pietsch will talk about the legal documents you will need to put in place in case you become physically or mentally incapacitated. He will explain how “dementia-capable†professionals can help plan for potential physical and mental incapacity and avoid guardianship and conservatorship and abuse.
Parking $6 is available in the parking structure adjacent to the law school. For directions to UH Law School see www.hawaii.edu/uhelp.
This is a rare opportunity to attend such a lecture on a weekend. Also, pick up the 25th Anniversary Edition of Deciding What’s Next and Trying to Remember — a Handbook for Hawai‘i’s Older Persons, Families and Caregivers.
Bring your own Brownbag or Bento and have lunch with your friends afterwards. Cookies and Iced Tea will be provided by UHELP.
