Title: The Role of the Digitization Project in the Production of THE RYUKYU KINGDOM: Cornerstone of East Asia (monograph).

By: Dr. Mamoru Akamine, Professor, University of the Ryukyus.

Dr. Akamine will describe the collaborative process through which his treatise on the Ryukyu Kingdom, written in Japanese, was translated, edited, and published into English. The work includes historical resources which, until recent technological advances, were largely inaccessible to scholars and students of Ryukyuan history.
