Russian Club celebrates 100 years of Russian Revolution
October 25, 2017 - October 18, 2017
Mānoa Campus, 1890 East-West Road, Moore Hall 252
Свобода! РавенÑтво! и БратÑтво!
Freedom, Equality, and Brotherhood.
These ideas inspired Russian October Revolution in 1917.
On October 25, 2017, we are going to recreate some atmosphere of the revolution with costumes, songs, and films. Please choose a person who participated in those events and dress like them. This person can be a peasant, a poet, a worker or Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, the ghost of Rasputin, or the princess Anastasia. Tell us about your person: what happened to them during that year and how their life was after that.
We will watch a piece of movie that recreates this event and will discuss its meaning and its influence on the whole world. Everybody is welcome, even if your Russian is the level of zero. We will be waiting you in Moore Hall 252 at 3:30.
