Slice of PI-CASC November Seminar
November 2, 12:00pm - 1:00pmMānoa Campus, HIG 210

Join the Pacific Islands Climate Adaptation Science Center for the next virtual presentation in our “Slice of PI-CASC” seminar series. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Clay Trauernicht, ecosystems and fire specialist, to speak. Fire is prevalent on many Pacific Islands and can be linked to patterns in vegetation, geography, land use, and climate. However, in his presentation, Dr. Trauernicht will make the case that the drivers of fire risk and, importantly, the ways in which we mitigate and react to fire, provide important insights into how social and ecological conditions confer resilience to climate impacts more broadly.
