International Oceanian Film Festival (FIFO) Screening: 2025 Film Selections

Created in 2004, the International Oceanian Documentary Film Festival (FIFO) aims to make Oceania more visible through the sharing of documentary films. In the context of rampant globalization, FIFO’s ambition is to amplify the voices of the peoples and cultures of Oceania while also promoting Oceanian cinema and filmmakers on screens around the world. The Center for Pacific Islands Studies is excited to bring FIFO to the UH system from 14-16 October. The schedule includes: Tuesday, 14 October screenings of "Myrajana, la valeur de la femme" and "Myths and Maidens" from 5-7:30 PM in BUSAD A102; Wednesday, 15 October screenings of "Te Puna Ora" at UHWO ACM from 9:00-11:00 AM and "Stamba Blo Fridom" and "Armea" from 5-7:30 pm in BUSAD A102; and Thursday, 16 October screenings of "Mauri" and "Te Pito o te Henua" from 5-7:30 pm in BUSAD A102. FREE DINNER will be provided to attendees at UHM!
