Discover Hawaiʻi's history through the eyes of the next generation at the Hawaiʻi History Day Student Documentary Showcase. Student-produced films explore topics including Queen's Health Systems, Hansen's disease (leprosy) in Hawaiʻi, the Kalima Lawsuit, sugar plantation labor, the introduction of the telephone to Hawaiʻi, and the enduring practice of lāʻau lapaʻau, followed by a discussion with the student filmmakers.
