UHM Semester of Sustainability Kick-Off, Spring 2012

FREE FOOD!----A coalition of sustainability and environmental groups will converge at the University of Hawaii-Manoa’s Campus Center Ballroom to launch the "Semester of Sustainability Kick-Off" event for Spring 2012 with keynote speaker Captain Charles Moore, the discoverer of the North Pacific Garbage Patch.

Sustainable UH is hosting the event in conjunction with the KYA Sustainability Studio, the Surfrider Foundation, the UHM Sustainability Corps, the Kokua Hawaii Foundation and the Ecology Club.

Participating organizations will have an opportunity to develop partnerships, recruit members, and share upcoming activities, projects and campaigns, and learn about the rich history and future plans for sustainability initiatives launched by UHM students, faculty, and administration.
