Learn the basics of watercolor including painting washes, mixing pigments, wet and dry techniques, light and shade, and the essentials of the painting process. Explore how to see and paint color in shadow. Those who have never done watercolor before will be guided through simple exercises to learn each technique. Students with experience will learn how to use a value sketch to design their paintings for more interest.
