Professor Wiesner-Hanks will discuss the writing and teaching of World History in light of her work as the editor-in-chief of the forthcoming Cambridge History of the World. How does one produce an authoritative and comprehensive 'history of the world' in only 9 volumes? What stays and what goes - and why?
