Youth Empowerment Summit Hawaiʻi

Come learn about immigrant rights, the DREAM act, and how to organize in your school or community with the National Immigrant Youth Alliance
The NIYA’s Youth Empowerment Summit is a day-long organizing and leadership training designed to:
-Provide peer-to-peer training in basic community organizing skills.
-Help participants learn to tell their own stories and speak in public.
-Train participants in the use of social media tools for outreach and organizing.
-Learn how push for a state–level DREAM Act and college tuition equity
-Provide an insider’s overview of the immigration debate.
-Build leadership teams in a geographic area.
-Conduct a brief action to give participants a chance to practice newly learned skill.
The event is FREE.
There are no registration fees but all participants must preregister at Bit.ly/empower-hawaii.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
