The Impact of Land Conservation Programs on Rates of Land Conversion

With support from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw, UHM is currently seeking five tenure-track faculty to undertake a strategic inter-disciplinary initiative focused on marine coastal sustainability.

All five faculty will have joint appointments with partnering disciplinary units at UHM (Architecture, Economics, Engineering, Microbial Oceanography and Urban and Regional Planning) at 0.75 FTE and in the University of Hawai‘i Sea Grant College Program at 0.25 FTE. This initiative is aimed at synergizing research, teaching, and outreach to address important aspects of island life.

Please join us on Monday, March 19, 2012 from 2:30-4:00 p.m. to hear Dr. Mark Braza give his job talk titled "The Impact of Land Conservation Programs on Rates of Land Conversion." Dr. Braza is a candidate for the faculty position in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. The talk will be held in the Hawai‘i Institute of Geophysics building (HIG) room # 210.
