Are We Alone: Current Efforts to Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence

May 3, 7:30pm - 9:00pm
Mānoa Campus, Kennedy Theatre

Does intelligent life exist beyond Earth? If so, how might we find it? Using the tools of astronomers, SETI, the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, is systematically looking for evidence of technologies produced by distant, alien civilizations. Dr. Jill Tarter, chair of the SETI Institute, will explain what we've learned and what's next. This lecture is the second in a series, the Sheraton Waikiki Explorers of the Universe.
