A Free Speech/Campus Censorship discussion will be held in the Campus Center Executive Dining Room from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12.

Panelists will include media attorney and new UH regent Jeff Portnoy, Ka Leo Editor in Chief Bianca Bystrom Pino, journalism instructor Gerald Kato and Roger Fonseca representing the American Civil Liberties Union.

Topics to be discussed include Free Speech restrictions on campus, the censorship of a mural promoting the annual Ka Leo arts festival, the impact of Ka Leo’s Free Speech wall and why is it important for students to use and understand their right to free speech.
