Mānoa Campus, Campus Center Executive Dining Room

Network, Learn Leadership Skills, Demystify the Campaign Process, Develop and Communicate an Effective Message, Reach Out to Your Constituency, Inspire & Serve Your Peers, Campaign to Win!

This is the first year that UH Mānoa is receiving a $5,000 grant from the American Association of University Women (AAUW), a national organization that seeks to empower women to run for student government and later, to run for a position in their local or even federal government.

The grant is being used to organize a Student Leadership Development Program on Saturday, March 1, titled "Elect Her." This training will demystify the campaign process and teach you how to develop an effective message, how to reach out to your constituency, and how to win a student government campaign.

The event will feature panels comprised of local leaders: U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard (via Sype or Facetime), Hawai‘i State Senator Jill Tokuda, 97th ASUH President and current Hawai‘i State Representative Kaniela Ing, 99th ASUH President Anna Koethe, and current ASUH Vice President Francesca Koethe.

"Elect Her" is FREE and open to ALL students (male and female) in the University of Hawai'i system so please feel free to attend! Event details are listed below.
