Increasing the Diversity of Women in the Sciences: Pathways to the Ph.D.

May 2, 8:30am - 12:00pm
Mānoa Campus, Campus Center Ballroom

Women and women from diverse racial/ethnic backgrounds are under-represented in the sciences. The goals of this free workshop are to 1) increase awareness of graduate programs in the sciences, 2) provide women with the skills and competencies to compete for graduate school, and 3) increase the exposure of women to a broad range of careers in the sciences, including biomedical, social, behavioral, natural, and other areas of science. We invited undergraduate women from diverse backgrounds to participate in this exciting interactive half-day workshop. Continental breakfast will be served! Meet other women and hear their success stories!
