Aloha Students, Educators, and Community Leaders!
Problem: Students often spend hundreds of hours every semester working on projects that end up in the recycling bin after they are graded! This is a waste of potential energy and deeper meaning behind the work students are doing!
Soul-ution: Connect the education directly into the community! That is why Education Energy 501c3 is launching the Purpose Driven Education Campaign to empower students to focus their research projects towards real community initiatives to have a real impact! As an initiative of the United Nations Association of Hawaii we are also aiming to encourage students to align their research with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and we are hosting an event to show students exactly how to do it! It's called "Hacking Your Education!" Community Call To Action!
Sign up to be part of the Online Community of students, educators, and community leaders working to positively impact the education system!

More Info: What: Community organizations are teaming up in Honolulu to raise awareness about Community Based Learning and Project Based Learning and creating a culture of Sustainable Education by connecting student learning to real organizations in the community. Goal: We hope to empower students and teachers to connect with real community organizations and give them a platform to show how they were able to bring real value to the real world through their homework. Purpose: The Purpose Driven Education Campaign aims to bring awareness to the value that students have to offer to the world through their learning experience, in an effort to begin transforming the social perspective of students from "unqualified learners" to "community contributors" to connect the classroom to the community! Some of the community partners are: UNA-USA Hawaii Make a Wish Foundation Aloha Movement Project University of Hawaii Campus Center Instant Change Center Hope you all can make it!
