Joseph Maida, Intersections Visiting Artist for the Department of Art + Art History, UHM, will give a public presentation in conjunction with "On O'ahu: Two Views." This exhibition of contemporary photography includes Maida's work, "New Natives" and Phil Jung's work "O'ahu."

Joseph Maida presents his work and discusses his trajectory as an artist who has divided his time among New York City, Tokyo, and Honolulu. He also addresses the tension between traditional and contemporary identities and how the intersection of cultures informs his perspective and creative practice.
