Manoa Faculty Teaching Exchange

March 20, 12:30pm - 1:30pm
Mānoa Campus, Kuykendall 106

The purpose of the Mānoa Teaching Exchange is to create a faculty-driven community of shared practice, reflective teaching and informal support and collaboration. The program supports collegial connections and collaboration grounded in best teaching practices, which could also extend beyond the classroom.

How it works:

1) Faculty will register and be paired with two other colleagues to observe outside of their college.

2) Faculty will meet with their partners and attend workshop on observation techniques and themes on Friday, March 20 from 12:30-1:30pm.

3) Over the next six weeks, faculty will complete one collegial observation of their assigned partner for 50 minutes.

4) Faculty will reconnect for a guided discussion with the colleagues they observed and CTE facilitators on Friday, May 1 from 12:30-1:30pm.

Faculty participating in the program will benefit by observing their colleagues from other colleges, develop an appreciation and understanding of each other’s work, while reflecting on their own teaching practices in a safe and informal setting. Online instructors are also welcome to participate in the program.

Register online by Wednesday, March 18th. Space is limited: www.cte.hawaii.edu/OnlineReg.html
