Screening of The Garden (2008) preceded by excerpts from documentaries on local struggles over land access in Hawai'i.
The Academy Award nominated feature film The Garden depicts the success and struggles of the largest urban farm in the U.S. Created in response to the 1992 L.A. riots, the 14-acre garden in South Central Los Angeles flourished before a back room real estate deal threatened its future.
