CTE 2017 Summer Teaching Institute: "Engage Your Classroom, Invigorate Yourself"
This Summer Institute originates from the conviction that our immediate presence in the classroom and our future influences are coherent. Let’s animate the present moment of teaching and learning, knowing that it generates a legacy of knowledge and experience!
During three half-days of workshops and activities offered by exemplar MÄnoa faculty across diverse disciplines, we will explore a suite of invigorating techniques and approaches including:
- Innovative Simulation Games
- Voice as a Teacher’s Superpower
- Interactive Exams
- Melbourne Method to Enhance Discussion
- Dynamic Collaborations
- Active Writing
- Flipping the Classroom and Everybody in It
- Spirited Scavenging for Points and Malasadas
Registration for the full three days will be given priority. If space is available, registration for one or two full days will be accepted.
Each day:
- 9:00-9:15am Check-in, beverages provided
- 9:30am Events begin
- 1:30pm Events conclude
