Get a hands-on introduction to tropical beekeeping!
Designed for beginners and novice beekeepers, an introduction to the basics of beekeeping, including honey production. Taught with a sense
of “island- bee-knowledge†by experts from the University of Hawai‘i at MÄnoa (UHM) College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR) Honeybee Project. Six Saturdays will
feature a combination of classroom activities and
field work. Topics covered include: honeybee
biology and ecology; beekeeping equipment;
pest, disease, and swarm control; honey
harvesting; and urban beekeeping.

Early registration is $199 (register by 03/09/19). Standard registration is $219.
