UH Venture Competition Information Session

Want to start a business? Not sure where to start? Looking for feedback and funding? Take control of your future and register for the 2021 UH Venture Competition, sponsored by American Savings Bank. More than $55,000 in cash and prizes are up for grabs. Registration closes on February 10. Students from majors including agriculture, business, computer science, communicology, engineering, food science, and medicine have won this competition. By competing, you will: - Test your business idea and get real-world feedback to see if you're heading in the right direction; - Participate in workshops designed to help you build a strong business model; Present to business leaders who are looking to mentor and support early-stage companies; - Showcase your startup and grow your network; - Set yourself apart from your classmates; and - Learn what it takes to launch a successful company. This competition is open to teams that include at least one full-time or part-time student who is currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program in any of the 10 community colleges and universities within the University of Hawai‘i System. Thanks to the virtual format, neighbor island and community college students may readily participate. At the information session, attendees will learn all the details to be successful in the competition, and have the opportunity to ask questions of the competition organizers. Anyone considering competing is encouraged to attend at least one information session.
