Join us on April 19th from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. for a Hawaiian Religion Today lecture by Dr. Kalehua Krug. Lecture summary: Situated from the lens of a Kākau Uhi (Hawaiian Tattoo) practitioner, Dr.Krug will introduce the idea of the existence of and need for Hawaiian religious guiding principles, or loina, in Hawaiian society today. In Hawaiʻi, religion has been utilized to fulfill an evolutionarily humanistic need. This presentation will briefly discuss the baseline characteristics of this need, and point out the skills necessary to properly engage in this investigative process
